How are the incraments of the jackpots determined? Powerball seems to grow by 10 million untill it gets into the larger jackpots. Are they based on percentage of ticket sales or something else? Hot lotto jackpots seem to crawl at $50,000 each time. For something with 1 in 29 million odds that seems a bit low, but it sells less tickets too.

You must know something I have yet to learn because that has never worked for me. I name all my play files with two letters for the game and six numbers for the date of the drawing so I know which numbers I played for each game and drawing and can go back and recheck what ifs. For example if played tonight's PowerBall game the play file name would be PB052513.

I have occasionally gone back to see if I had played the same numbers some additional drawings if they would have hit and so far they

If by moneyball you mean the bonus number or powerball then looking at the repeat frequency can give you a slight edge over 1:35 of picking the winning one. Regular PB players have probably already done the math and can give you a more accurate guess.

I like these new Powerball machines. My California Super Lotto Plus contract came to an end on Saturday April 6th, 2013 because they're joining the game Powerball too. I want to say good luck to California joining the game Powerball.
