hey all, noticed the multiplier rip off too, I used to play the pb alot too, no longer-one or 2 tickets a draw for me that's it...it was a bit of a let down, to see no more multiplier-as someone earlier pointed out eight dollars isn't much more than 4, but it was exciting when the mulitplier times 5 came up even if all you had was the powerball match..

We just started a lottery pool at work because of the big Powerball. I don't know if it'll continue, now that the jackpot's been won, but it's being run pretty well. Everything is done by email and we recieve copies of the tickets the day of or day before the draw. After one draw we won a small amount that wasn't big enough to split, and decided to re-invest in the next drawing.

While waiting for Powerball drawing I have done some more backtesting of the pair/triple patterns and it appears these patterns are no better than the other patterns I have tried in the past.

Even before Powerball tickets went up to $2, I was not a big fan. Even less a fan now. But it is hard to pass up a big jackpot especially when one can win a large amount of money with a pittance of a cost.

At a cost of only 4 cents, I have a shot of winning $2.7 million. That is $2.7 million cash and after all taxes. Most people do not even stop to pick up a penny or nickle on the street. But those 4 pennies can make all the difference.

why the odds are lower, jackpot reach's same level with half number of tickets overall sold before,

You would have to have a friend or relative in another state(someone you could really trust) that has the MM. Come to an agreement on sharing a percentage of the prize together, have them buy the tix for you, repay them for all or whatever you decide to split based on the winnings for so many advanced draws(limit depends on each states rules for advance draws--see their website) retain the original for yourself (give them a copy if you and that person agree to it)...WAAA LAAA !!!! If my 200 Groups are made up of 3 of more of the same numbers hitting more than once and these groups make up 90.99% of the total drawings in the time frame specified; what are your odds of hitting your numbers if they are not in one of my groups? Just something to think about.

The main problem with this is that legal name changes are public records (which is why, for example, we can find out that Sting's real name is Gordon Matthew Sumner). So a little research would pull up the person's real name, and then, well, no more privacy.

The group that did it in the Virgina lottery, had their play slips printed up and a plan in place long before the drawing. It was a matter of waiting for the jackpot to reach a certain level. They did it with three terminals working exclusively for them for three days at three seven-eleven stores.

Just to note, South dakota has a Federal withholding of 28%, instead of the 25% for other states.

Best to check the exact taxes for a state by going to the state's own lottery site, and their tax site.
