Have to disagree. Luck is a part but if you don't know how to play, it doesn't matter if you have a horseshoe up ur arse. You need to know how many hands can beat you, how to reel someone in, how to fish for hands and know what they have (or at least narrow it down) based on they're bets, understand the probability of your hands' chances of winning, etc etc Luck IS a factor though when say you and the other guy are chasing something with only the river card left and you're both all in. I would be interested if theirs no surcharge. Why exactly would there have to be one? I mean they can always pull cash out of other areas to have funds for it. OR they can actually increase overall payout by a percentage. As it is Mass only pays out 52cents on the dollar which is actually one of the highest. You ask me, they could increase payout to 75% and still make a killing just not quite as much of a killing but hey it could spur the statewide economy too.

I was living in Northern California about 5 years ago when there was a winning ticket (CA SuperLotto or MM) in the South Bay. Might have been San Jose. A few days later, a TV news crew was at the convenience store interviewing the owner and they talked him into showing surveillance video of the ticket being purchased. At the time, I thought it was cool. In hindsight, I'm appalled.

I'm curious to know if there is any info available on the percentage of second chance eligible tickets that are entered compared to thrown away. Also, I'm curious to know just how many winning tickets as a percentage are thrown in the trash? I've taken to hitting the stores trash bin after buying a few tickets to look for possible winners and second chancers. I'm amazed how many of both are thrown away. So far I've found hundreds of 2nd chance tickets and $40 worth of winners thrown away in the

I have an answer for your first question.

The new annual limit is $13k however you can deduct the taxes owed on any amounts over the annual limit from your unified credit (this is a lifetime deduction) for 2012 the amount is $1,772,800.

In this example the tax bracket is probably wrong but it's for illustration purposes only.

say you gave someone $100,000 and the gift tax on $87,000 (the amount after the first non taxable $13,000) is $6,000, you would deduct $6,000 from your $1,772,800

It would not be worth it to invest 350M to (best case scenario) break even really because in actuality that's what it is. The after tax cash value if what you're playing for if you have 350M laying about. I have read the story of Martyn Tott. He was not able to claim the money not because he bought it overseas.

He lost the ticket and in UK you are only allowed to claim within a month if your ticket had been lost. Otherwise you had a grace period of 6 months.

Can't say I would. Too much too lose and even if the odds are good, somebody's gotta lose.. I'm still hesitant to buy $20 tickets. Only bought one once (won $25) and am always seeing people buy, sctrach, look disappointed, and then throw away those tickets in the stores. Very discouraging.

The $2 Bingo scratchers were the most popular scratch-off games at the time so the lottery decided to create Lot 'O Play because it looked something like Bingo. Lot 'O Play didn't get lots of play so it was back to the drawing board.

It's all relative.

When two people from somewhere in the country buy a PB ticket, one matches 5 numbers and the other matches 5 numbers plus the bonus number, it's obvious who was more lucky. And it's just as obvious who is more lucky when one player matches just the bonus number and another player matches nothing.

The winning number issue was corrected, so I went ahead and published the winning numbers on the Arkansas Lottery Results page.

I actually calculated the prizes myself, and I believe they are accurate, but if they are off, then they're only off by a dollar or so. I'll make any necessary corrections to the prize numbers later, but hopefully we're all set at this point.

I always buy tickets when i visit family in NC and never win nothing. Also noticed to win a million there, you need to buy the 10$ tickets.Most states its only 5$. I think winning tickets depends on the population. Here they sell alot, so new tickets pay off pretty fast.

That does it, now it's stuck in my head. Too shy shy, hush hush, eye to eye.

But as far as songs stuck in your head, it's not too bad. I've had songs that I really don't like stuck in my head..Like you're walking around the office humming some song and you realize, WTF? I hate that song.

That'd be cool, though I'd rather have it about 5/34 or so.

Virginia's Cash5 is 5/34.

You get $5 for 3, $100 for 4 and $100,000 for 5, all fixed prizes though.

But it plays twice a day, 7 days a week, which I like.

I would get debt free first and then help my mother out of her debt and my sister and her husband out of debt too. Then a new car for mom and a new vehicle for my sister and her husband. It would be nice to live debt free and not have to worry about money with a big win in the lottery.-weshar75
