Starting Sunday, Nov. 1, lottery players in Tennessee can participate in a growing multi-state game offering a top prize of $1000 per day for the rest of your life.
Cash4Life was started in 2014 as a two-state game, played in New Jersey and New York, and has been slowly expanding into other states. Tennessee will be the fifth state to participate.
Playing Cash4Life is just like playing other typical lotto games: players select 5 numbers from a field of 1 to 60, and 1 Cash Ball from a field of 1 to 4. Matching all the numbers wins the top prize, and matching other combinations of numbers wins a lower-tier prize.
One aspect making the Cash4Life prize structure unique is that the second prize — won by matching all five numbers but not the Cash Ball number — wins a lifetime prize too. $1,000 per week for life, in fact.
"With two lifetime prizes, Cash4Life is a one-of-a-kind game we are delighted to launch in Tennessee," said Rebecca Hargrove, President and CEO of the Tennessee Education Lottery. "It should prove to be a popular addition to our existing array of entertaining games, while helping fulfill our mission of raising funds for valuable education programs in Tennessee."
Cash4Life costs $2 per play, and tickets are on sale at Tennessee Lottery retailers starting Sunday, Nov. 1. Drawings are held in New Jersey every Monday and Thursday at 8 pm CT/9 pm ET.
Because the New Jersey Lottery uses real lottery ball equipment to draw the winning numbers, Tennessee lottery players will have a new lotto game to play that uses real lottery drawings. All in-state Tennessee Lottery games generate the winning numbers using a computerized drawing system that players generally distrust, especially following the revelations of wide-spread computerized drawing rigging.
In addition to the top two "for-life" prizes, players can also win prizes ranging from $2 up to $2,500 in cash for matching various other combinations of numbers. The lowest prize of $2 is won by matching one number plus the Cash Ball number.
The odds of winning the game's top prize are 1 in 21.8 million. The overall odds to win any prize are 1 in 8.
The other four states which currently offer Cash4Life are New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
The Maryland Lottery previously confirmed that the state will add Cash4Life starting in early 2016. (See Maryland Lottery to join Cash4Life game in early 2016, Lottery Post, Aug. 28, 2015.)
Cash4Life winning numbers will be published on Lottery Post's Tennessee Lottery Results page shortly after each drawing.
If the majority of players want it then give it to them. Good Luck !!
I never thought of Cash4Life as 2 Jackpot Game with 1 Drawing, but it is. With that in mind, it is worth the $2 to Play!
Not a regular buyer of this but I bought 1 today to welcome Tenny-see to the game,
now they have another game w/real drawings. Just say no to RNG.

I thought the jackpot winner is also split?
Will buy 10 advance draws in AC NJ tomorrow, someone's going to win...might as well be me.
Another state makes the pot grew bigger but doubt it will improve our adds at winning.
Think I bought only one ticket since it came into play because the number of winners is very low.
The more who play PB / MM, jackpot payouts gets larger; overall payout percentage improves. Cash4Life top payout structure is very different than typical jackpot games. The more Cash4Life tickets sold, more chances of the jackpot, which doesn't increase, being split among winners.
To put it simply, Cash4Life is the reverse of most jackpot games. More who play = potentially smaller jackpot. The lotteries participating figure the vast majority of players won't realize this. For me, every state added is one less reason to play.
Good luck, most casino gift shops sell tix. If you travel outside of A.C. a lucky location:
7-11 store New rd. and Jackson ave. Northfield N.J. about 15 minutes away
New rd is designated U.S.9 and is exit 5 off the A.C. Expressway, 3 or 4 miles south on 9 toward Northfield.
Is this game operated by the hands of Tn or what? If it is, no Thank You. Happy Halloween !!!!!!
The second prize odds are horrible for a state game. Should've made around 1 in 4M. Maybe one day they will improve the odds of second prize because nobody wins the jackpot for a long time.
Isn't this the game with few if any winners so far? It is in Virginia also but I only played it once.
The dragon lady strikes again.
Even though the odds are wicked small, still bought four weeks worth in Atlantic City this past weekend!
